Ive been using a cheap iPhone charger that runs on 4 AA batteries when I go camping for the last few years, but it has a dock connector attached to it so I cant use it for my iPhone 5. I'm also a bit concerned about buying another one of these super cheap chargers from ebay that might not have protection circuits or could be wired up wrong.

I cant rely on solar power in the UK and I'd rather not have a stack of lithium battery packs that could run out early.

Do any companies make a high quality AA battery powered charger with a usb socket?

*Edit* damnit, i thought i was in iphone accessories. Can a mod move the thread over please? Thanks.
