I am using itunes 9 on my mac. When i try to convert an aac file to an mp3 where is it going? I click the "create MP3" button, then itunes says "converting" but after it is done i cant find it in the mp3 version. I am trying to turn a playlist of my aac files into an mp3 playlist i can burn to a cd.

as always, thanks for your responses.

It should show up below the track you selected to convert.

Example:

01 - oh dear.aac
02 - oh my.aac
03 - oh death.aac
03 - oh death.mp3

You can also select the column named "Kind" to see the various formats.
Right click on the column bar to get the following menu:
