iPad ability to use unlimited iphone data on ipad?

Would jailbreaking allow my ipad to use phone unlimited data plan? I'm trying to see if opening another unlimited data line from t-mobile would work after jailbreaking iOS 7. Right now, it seems like T-mobile can tell between iPhone and iPad. However, if there is a way to make the iPad seem like an iPhone, I would think this would be possible. Anyone have any ideas? I am new to jailbreaking.

If your iphone has an unlimited data plan, I recommend looking into tethering tweaks via cydia. I use tetherme and it works great. I'm able to use my phones data to the iPad with no issues. There are other tweaks like this but this is the cheapest one (around $5).

You can't just activate the line with an iPhone and then swap the SIM card into the iPad? That's how it works on Verizon. No jailbreaking required, just SIM swapping.

I tried it but didn't work. It keeps redirecting me to my.tmobile.com site and stalls. Not able to do any browsing with it. Wondering if jail breaking it would provide a work around.
