I’m experiencing that a brand new 16” MacBook Pro seems to have noticeable worse performance In ableton than a 2013 15” MacBook Pro. The new laptop take longer to load instruments, is hotter and therefore louder, and just laggier in general when navigating menus the ableton software in general. What’s going on? Isn't performance Supposed to get better in 7 years?

Here are the specs:
2013 MBP retina 15”
1TB
High Sierra
2.6 GHz Intel Core i7
16GB 1600 MHZ DDR3
Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

2019 MBP

1TB
2.4 GHz 8-core Intel Core i9
64 fb 2667 MHz DDR4
AMD Radeon pro 5600m 8gb (Intel ugh graphics 630 1563 mb)

Did you try the same macOS on both?
Mojave changed a lot of things under the hood.
also make sure you’re using latest Ableton of course.
