Ableton Live Help Recording

I know how to record in ableton, but when i plug in my guitar it only picks it up in one speaker (it pans hard left) it also does this with my keyboard, just wondering how i can fix this?

I run a MacbookPro and Ableton 6


(note: i have tested the keyboard in other basic recording apps and it works fine in both speakers it is abletone i believe!)

i'm not familiar w/ Live, but: are you recording to a mono track or a stereo track?
