Hello

I have a clients who sent me like 300 videos to edit, each 1 hour long. And they have all the sub titles exported from Avid in .txt format.

How can I port the text file of certain episode so Premiere can understand it? Is there a native plugin?

I have been looking for tutorials and I already asked at Adobe forums but no answer yet.

Thank you guys.

I really wish I could help you, this is way over my head since I've never done subtitles before.. Your best bet is to call adobe at 1800-585-0774 and get someone from the premiere team on the phone... They will be able to connect to your computer using adobe connect to further help you.

Thank you!

I called them. I need to translate the .txt file into:
  • SCC
  • MCC
  • XML
  • STL
The thing is Premiere is recognizing only the SCC format translated from the .txt file. So I asked the clients to send me the same file from their AVID system directly into the 4 different formats and see how they work in Premiere.

But thank you. I have been calling Adobe with that number for other issues as well.
