Abobe site: Where the hell is acrobat 8 pro MAC???

I've been looking at the adobe site for a while trying to get a trial download of acrobat 8 for mac and all they have is the windows version?!?!

All I can find are updates for the mac version, but not the full version...

Can anyone point me n the right direction?

The full version is out there for sale, but I have not looked for (or seen) a trial download of it.

yes, I saw those...I wanted to try the ocr in acrobat but they only have a trial for windows...thats unusual for adobe...

anyone managed to find a link for the trial download...ever?

For at least the last four versions of Acrobat Pro, there has not been a trial version for Mac download.

Why? I'm guessing that the accompanying installation of Distiller and the latest Adobe PDF PPD would make it a tempting target to crack for all those studios out there who could get by just with those items alone.

Hunting for a trial Mac download is a fruitless task.

Will have to go look for other ocr software for mac. Do you any thats good?

I'm using yep to manage PDFs and need some ocr before tagging them...
