Hi.

I see that Apple released two different updates to remove flashback trojan. I have read that it depends on your installation and if you have Java installed or not.

I thought that Java was included in the OS, wasn't it?

Lion doesn't have it and you have to install by yourself?

Flash should be downloaded from Adobe's site, but what about Java? It's need to install it? Should be installed?

So, all new computers doesn't include neither Flash neither Java, or is it something related to a clean install?

Thank you!

You're correct.

If you spotlight Java in Lion it will automatically install a base version of Java for you.
Then run software update and there will be a java update.

I don't run stand alone Flash on my Macs. I use chrome which has it sandboxed in. I much prefer it.

Mac OS X Lion does not ship with either Java or Flash. As agentphish said, if you need Java installed, OS X will prompt you to let it install it via Software Update. Flash Player you will have to install manually, or use Chrome, which has it built-in.
