Greetings,

I am planning to buy the following MBPR 15' mainly for apps developing and go travelling (Watching HD moives). I believes that most of the macbook can suit the needs. However, I have questions about the performance on handle 3d modelling, video editing, photo editing since I am quite interested in multimedia and I may try out some related software (e.g. PS, AI, Maya, After Effects, Unity3D...etc) just for my own hobbies (non-professional use). Will it be too heavy for the following MBPR when running the mentioned software ? Thanks.

Depends on software

If the software you are using leverages CUDA instead of Open CL then it may be a little slow compared to the NVIDIA equipped version. But to be honest that laptop will still fly through almost everything except modern games at high levels.....
