about my mac window looks different

Hello.

I get an info screen that does not mention if my macbook is 2013 or 2012, late or early...

anyone encounter this? know how to fix it. I certainly like it to be spelled out.

Look up its serial number. Use this site: http://www.appleserialnumberinfo.com/Desktop/index.php or something similar.

thanks, that is an alternative.

it started working, displaying the extra line. Not sure why, not sure if it even had to do with me.

My quest did yield some information I would not otherwise have:
when the computer was physically made, and battery capacity vs what capacity battery was designed to have.
