Good stuff. Go with the OWC. I have ordered from them over the years and just ordered two 2TB cases, one quad interface and one USB only. If you want more speed you may want to consider going with the quad interface.
 
JBOD = you will see one drive, with a total of 4TB. That drive also supports "2 independent drives" which means you'll see two drives, both at 2tb. Your description/question is kinda confusing.
 
I just looked at the description. It only goes to 3TB (two 1.5TB drives) for JBOD or independent, or 2 1TB drives for RAID. And for "verification", on the page where they sell it with drives, the only mention it as a JBOD solution, up to 3TB. You would be better off with this which would also be significantly faster.
 
You could just call OWC, they are really helpful.

Realize that any 2 bay enclosure = fans -- I hate the noise so do single drive cases instead.
