I just got an ipod touch in a couple of days,

and now I have two questions, they might seem silly to you, but I need to know the answer, so would you plzzzzzz tell me, that would be great, and thanks you first. :)

first one is , what does "Press the Home button to get back to your first Home screen — even if you have many." mean?
I know I can open many, but every time when you want to open an other one, you gotta go back to the main screen, so I just wonder if there is other way to open it?

the second one is I know when it shows low battery, the safari will shut down, right?

Is the home button easily to be touched?

Well, I do enjoy tap tap, it can allow u to download more and more songs when u have a wifi to connect.
and mazefinger, google earth, google mobile, powerboat challenge, space deadbeef etc.

?????

ummm I'll try and answer your questions, but try and be more clear, please.

First, the bit about the home screen: if you are on your second page of apps (or beyond, 3rd, 4th, etc) then tapping the home button will take you back to page 1.

I don't know what you mean by "the safari", Safari is just a web browser, when you want to close it, just close it.

The home button is just a button, it's not touch sensitive or anything, it's as easy to press as any other button.

thank you first!

so when the ipod touch is in low battery situation, and your Safari opens, it won't be shut down automatically?

and "if you are on your second page of apps (or beyond, 3rd, 4th, etc) then tapping the home button will take you back to page 1", is this feature belonging to software 2.2 or its previous one?

thank you, I almost got everything i need. :)

I believe the "back to page 1" feature was first implemented in 2.2.

When the battery gets low, the iPod itself would shut down. (You also get warnings at 20% and 10% before the iPod shuts down, by which time the battery is nearly 0.) But no individual app, including Safari, shuts down by itself while you continue to use the iPod for other things when the battery is low. And I'm not sure why you are concerned about Safari in particular, it's not like it's more of a battery hog than any other app.

sorry about that,

but I still don't get it, what does page 1 mean? y I can't go to page 1????

thank you very much!

and For the Record, Safari is one of the main reason I buy ipod touch. :)

yep, I watched it before, but it seems that it's for software 2.0(1), unless it's updated.:)

2.1 and 2.2 is not all that different. In fact, the only significant difference that comes to mind is the "back to page 1" feature. "Page 1," in case you haven't figured it out from the video, is the first page of icons on the Touch. You can have 16 icons (apps) on each page. If you download more apps from the app store, then they go on page 2, 3, etc., up to 9 pages. If you are on page 9, it's a long way back to page 1, but in 2.2, you just have to push the "home" button and you jump back to page 1.

I would say that a slightly redesigned App Store and redesigned Safari, as well as the addition of Podcasts in the Wi Fi store were more significant in 2.2 than the "page 1" feature.

Thank you so much, I got what I want to know. the "PAGE".

but currently I only have five pages, and when I am in page 4, and I press the home button, it still stays in page 4, is that normal?

well, when I sync the ipod touch, it says it's the last verson which is 2.2

so I don't know what's going on here. that makes things tough.

thank you, guys.

Now I understand it completely.

I know what that words mean.

so when you run an app at page 4, and then you press the home button, it will go back to page 4, and then you press it again, this is the time that it goes back to page 1, right?

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This whole thread really made my day. I thought it was going to be another boring day at the office. Who would have thought I was going to read something so amusing when I first got to work?

okay, apparently you guys are being entertained,

so just thanks to my lausy english.
after all, english is not my first language.

so enjoy yourselves. :)

thank you for saying that.

now I think the situation just vanished.

so can you introduce some free apps for ipod touch,

since I just bought one for myself.:)

If you are after some free games, I recommend searching for JellyCar and MazeFinger. By far the best free games I've found for Touch ^^

well, I installed almost all of them, show plzzzz tell me more if there are more fun apps coming out.

I do have AIM for u, thank you so much.
:)

it's difficult to recommend 'fun' apps that'll suit you until you tell us what you like or want to see. the apps already mentioned in this thread do nothing for me.
