About the FCP5 Crossgrade

I bought an academic version of FCP 4 off a friend a year ago, when he bought version 5, the thing is he already registered the FCP 4,

I was wondering if I can send the discs for the crossgrade and be able to take advantage of this promo as xPismo did

No checking done on disc

I sent in my Motion 2 EDU disc and no checking was done. I did not send the serial number and the crossgrade worked fine.

you can send a disc in , and the academic becoomes full retail! That is what I got in return.
