I have a blackbook 2.0 core 2 duo macbook. maxed out with 3gb ram and 500 gb hd. it is starting to give me issues as far as the superdrive etc. i have used this thing as a work horse since i bought it early april 07.

i am looking at a new macbook pro 13.3" what are the odds of an update being released on jan 26?

thanks guys

I'd check the 'waiting for arrandale' thread. Nobody knows for sure but quite a few have speculated that it's quite possible.

Who knows though. Would definitely be nice.

January 26th is so close. You will be glad you waited, even if there are no new Macbooks on the horizon. Maybe the current ones will see a modest price drop, or an increase in certain stats.

I did the exact same upgrade as you late 06 macbook black 4GB of Ram (3 usable) 320 GB harddrive and I sold it for 750, then I purchased a refurb macbook pro 13", now it has a 500 GB HD and will soon be upgrading to 4GB of ram. Just do it, honestly the improvement is going to minor imo if a new one comes out

Believe it or not, I just saw one of these in the refurb store. It was all I could do to resist.
