I'm highly considering this refurbished Macbook with the following specs:
Refurbished MacBook 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo - White
13.3-inch glossy widescreen display
512MB memory
60GB hard drive
SuperDrive (DVD+R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
$849
Refurbished MacBook 1.83GHz Intel Core 2 Duo - White
13.3-inch glossy widescreen display
512MB memory
60GB hard drive
Combo drive (DVD-ROM/CD-RW)
$849
Based on the processor, the top one is the first generation Macbook right? If so, what were the issues with that version? Is a 1.83 Intel Core 2 Duo or a 2.0 Intel Core Duo better? Do you think this is a smart buy? Would it be smarter to use the education discount to get a new current Macbook for $999? Money is very tight for me, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
