About to buy new rMBP, but what to do with my old 2007 mbp?

As the title say, I'm about to buy a new 15" rmbp but not sure what I should do with my current 2007 mbp? Should I convert it into a media server running plex or it's better to just get a mac mini to do that?

I'm also planning to buy a synology NAS in the near future to store all of my digital contents.
