I have iPhone 3gs baseband 6.15 on 4.2.1 New bootrom
I am about to sell this on eBay but this is tethered. I want it to be untethered so I was wondering if what I am doing is correct...

-Dl sn0wbreeze 2.9.1
-make a custom rom
- run tiny umbrella(already have 5.0.1) saved
-open itunes, shift restore

Is that all I have to do?

Sorry for my bad English.

Download sn0wbreeze 2.9.3 from here: http://downloads.ih8sn0w.com/sn0wbreeze-v2.9.3.zip

You'll also need to download the iPhone_2,1_5.0.1.ipsw (iPhone 3GS restore file for 5.0.1), which you can do from sn0wbreeze. Then click on iFaith method and grab the 5.0.1 shsh that you saved from your device. You can skip the Unlock in the sn0wbreeze option because you already have the iPad baseband. Make sure you Disable Location Services when running through the activation if you don't hacktivate once you've Shift restored to the custom 5.0.1 you made.

Thank you for the reply.
I am attempting it right now. Wish me luck!
I will update how the process goes.

I did everything above and now I am stuck at "preparing iphone for restore"
I cant get pass that after waiting. :(

Just entered my iPhone into DFU with the sno0wbreeze method.
So far it has got passed through. Restoring iphone right now. So far so good..

Update:
iPhone is up and running! I will test out the iPhone with a T-Mobile sim later tonight.
Thank you Landon.!
