I can't find a jailbreak for my 4.2.9 should i just go ahead and upgrade to 4.2.10 or should i hold tight and hope that one comes out for 4.2.9?

Just sit tight on what you are on, the devs will advise on what firmware you have to be on when their latest and greatest jb comes out. If you need to be on the newest, then you can just upgrade and go from there. But if you already update and you have to be on the older firmware you may not be able to go back, if you don't have your shsh blobs saved that is.

No point in releasing a jailbreak for either 4.2.9 or 4.2.10 The next jailbreak will probably be release 5.

There is a jailbreak out for 4.2.9 and 4.2.10. Its done via redsn0w and it is a tethered jailbreak. To jailbreak 4.2.10, point redsn0w at a 4.2.9 IPSW.

"should i just go ahead and upgrade to 4.2.10 "

Well, go ahead if you don't care about a jailbreak.

why not save your shsh blobs for 4.2.9 now, and upgrade if you want...then you can downgrade if you want.

im assuming apple is still signing 4.2.9 though.
