So, I bought an iPhone 4 almost exactly a year ago, and I won't be eligible for an upgrade for quite a while. So, I want to use the upgrade of someone else on my plan. How do I do that and how does it work? I assume you can't do that online, so I'll need to go to the AT&T store to do it; is the AT&T store taking preorders on Friday?

To answer your question, you will need to go to an att/Verizon store and talk to one of their reps. I doubt they can upgrade one line, but then put the new iPhone on your number. But, I could be wrong.
Well, considering pre-orders start on Friday, it'd be nice to have all the proper information about how to get it ASAP.
