Do you have a new Intel Mac? Those don't come with Classic, and in fact, can't run the Classic environment. You can, however, use a PowerPC emulator and install Mac OS 9 inside of that to run older programs. I've never used one of these, so I can't give you any suggestions.

Try out Sheepshaver. It's what I'm using to run Mac OS 9 on my intel imac. I have no need for classic apps, and I'm just using it for fun. It seems to run the classic apps well on their own, but anything that requires the internet or TCP/IP in general often causes the program to crash.
In addition to the program, you'll need a mac os 9 retail cd to boot the emulator in. It is a bit confusing when it comes to configuring it. Apart from this, I know of no other way besides emulation for running power pc versions of Mac OS on intel macs. There may be other emulators, but this one is free and it's the only one I know of.
You need to install the mac os 9 retail cd into a disk image that you can create via Disk Utility or Sheepshaver itself. You also will need a macintosh power pc new world .rom file. This can be obtained from an existing pre-OS X power pc mac legally, and it can be downloaded online illegally. It is against the rules of this forum for me to post a link to such a file, but you can pm me for more information. Apple actually offers one on their site, but you need to be running OS 9 to install it, so that won't help you much. If you already own a mac, it's not a moral issue, really, as a power pc OS X mac runs in classic mode. You just need intel support.

Yo tengo un Mac mini (PowerPC G4 1.42 GHz) y luego de bajar la actualizacion Mac OS X Update (Power PC) 10.4.9
No me deja abrir algunos programas de Classic (Quarkxpress 4.11
Ilustrator 9 - Photoshop 7 entre otros) que anteriormente abria
normalmente. No los recocone y abre el Scrip Editor
Si me fijo en el Kind opcion i dice: aplication en vez de Classic

Esta todo instalado. El sistem classic y los programas. Y despues de bajar la actualizacion 10.4.9 dejo de abrir algunos programas del classic.
No los esta reconociendo como programas y abre el Scrip Editor.
Al hacer apple+1 en el archivo de la aplicacion en el Kind/Tipo dice: aplication en vez de aplication de Classic.
Si creo un nuevo usuario y cuando reinicio abro con dicho usuario si los reconoce.
Lo hize pero sigue igual. Los programas no abren.
