just wondering if anyone knows how to do a bar chart on this programme? Is it actually possible?

Have you read the manual? It is only 41 pages long. At any rate, Abscissa is a small graphing app that is targeted primarily at science and engineering users. It can do histograms. However, there is no indication anywhere within the application or its documentation of bar charts.
