I have upgraded in the last two weeks from 1.25 to 1.5, and I can't tell the difference most of the time.

Between 2.5 to 3 hours depending on settings and what you are doing

No heat issues with current revisions, only Rev A 12"

People use these powerbooks to edit video, photoshop, so I can't see any problem compiling video, obviously it won't be as quick as a desktop G5, but I am sure it will be quick enough, however I don't use the applications you mention myself.

MacNemo,

Is there a vowel shortage where you live?

Nevermind.

I have a new 1.33 15" PB. The battery usually lasts about 2.5 hours. My PB seems to get remarkably hot, but I've been assured that's "normal". You'll have no problem compiling C/C++ or Java code.
