I thought Apple were good at customer service?

I have been unable to buy songs from the iTunes store for a month now, and not only do they seem incapable of resolving the issue, but the last communication I sent them was 10 days ago and I've heard NOTHING. In that time I have sent more and more frantic emails, hoping to provoke a response by threatening to close my acount. NOTHING.

Has anyone else had this somewhat distressing experience, or is it just me?
