has anyone bought a AC adapter/charger from amazon? i would like a genuine one without the price... on the pictures that i see from amazon there are no apple symbols on any of the chargers... tells me that its a rip off

any suggestions?

I got a used genuine one off of eBay for like $18, so the pricing isn't that bad if you look hard enough. And those third party chargers are a mess, the little removable plug part is smaller than the body of the charger, and the apple OEM plug is bigger than it. The plastics are not the same color (plug blue-ish, power brick is yellowish)

I also wouldn't trust the quality of the components they use. There's a reason it's half the cost of a genuine one.

BTW, if you need a new one for a macbook pro (with the aluminum tip) they're $40-$50 new on eBay.
