Hi All,

If a 12PM has AC+ from the states, and I plan on giving it to my relative overseas, will the AC+ be valid there and can the phone be fixed if any issues arise at their local Apple store? Thanks

Contact apple store first and see if AppleCare applies to that country. Not all countries share the same “transferable” AppleCare. It’s worldwide with asterisks.

When you call, ask for the Applecare Administration Department, and be sure to have your agreement number handy.

At this point it doesn't matter.
You've already paid for the insurance and it's not refundable. Either AC+ will work if needed in the other country or not - you're still going to give the iPhone to your relative.
Chances are very high that they won't need to use it anyway

You can cancel it and get the money remaining refunded if you want.
