Not only a new jailbreaking team, but a new program has entered the mix.

http://pwndevteam.com/?page_id=156

From their site:

"I’m pleased to announce that we’ve just released Beta 1 of Ac1dSn0w for Mac OS X Lion (should also work on Snow Leopard). Ac1dSn0w allows you to jailbreak your iDevice tethered. It also provides features like Tethered Boot, Pwned DFU, and Exit Recovery to get your device out of Recovery Loop."

Supported Devices (iOS5/iOS5.0.1):

* iPhone 3Gs
* iPhone 4
* iPod Touch 4 G
* iPad 1

In the future it will also be able to jailbreak remote devices. This means that you just need to install a server program on any OS (Linux, BSD, Windows) and Ac1dSn0w will jailbreak it on a client machine anywhere in the world. Other upcoming features are:

* Custom Firmware Creation
* iRecovery Remote (you can talk to remote devices and send your own payloads etc)

Their founder/leader is 14. They just keep getting younger.....

pointless JB right now even they say it's beta and to stick with Redsn0w! maybe the future I'd rather see all these hackers work together more. I'm sure there is friendly competition as well.

Just another version of existing exploits :mad:

Chronic apparently has nothing despite all their claims :confused:

Only MuscleNerd has demonstrated a working (yet unfinished) jailbreak for A5 processor devices. ;)

looks like this group isn't liked or wanted! I'm guess the Dev-team will speak up soon too.

I'm resigning from @PwnDevTeam. AcidSn0w is just too pointless, and I don't want to be part of a group that illegally distributes code.

@PwnDevTeam Judging by the amount of rudeness in your IRC, you don't seem to care about legal laws. Don't give the jb community a bad name.

@PwnDevTeam whats the deal with renaming @chronicdevteam's libirecovery to libra1n, and including 30MB+ of Apple Copyrighted code?

A little rich coming from ih8sn0w - didn't he get pulled up by musclenerd for distributing Apple copyrighted codes too in his first initial software release?

that's what I thought I know he has never earned respect. so if Ih8sn0w is complaining it must be bad. there is allot more talk on twitter. I can't wait to here what musclenerd says. just found what they are talking about.

Yep Apples not going to allow this..

holy moly...dhllizard! welcome back for a quick sec! good work over on the dev team blog, always a pleasure to hear from you.

Who gives a crap. Why do we need ANOTHER jb tool that has no new features or doesn't support the 4S?
