AC3 codec for Quicktime (Universal Binary) out there?

Know of any AC3 codec for Quicktime out there? Mind you it has to be Universal Binary.

I tried another and that didn't like Intel Macs at all, despite being a UB and open source. So I went searching and found this one, one word of caution though, I haven't tried it with QT 7.1.3. Sometimes QT updates would cause issues with previous AC3 codecs, I'll be updating my QT in the next day or so though, so I'll post back on what it does.

I get the following message:

Yup, looks like the file is no longer there.
Remember, this is an ac3 to stereo codec.

Ah that seems to explain why it disappeared...

It was just updated to version 1.7.1:

The download link on the site works again too. Only fix noted is that it fixes mono playback.

A52 Codec works for playing ac3 encoded avi files with QT 7.1.3

Well I had a helluva time getting avi files with ac3 encoding to play in QT. The a52 codec does work! It is up to version 1.7.2 and is available here:

p.s. I'll keep my fingers crossed that I can now convert to a VCD in Toast or Videohub for watching on my TV.
