Hi all,

I hope I post in the right forum.

I own an ATV3 and I'm currently converting all my DVD collection using handbrake.
As sound system I currently have a 2.1 system but might upgrade to 5.1 / 7.1.

In handbrake, I use ATV3 preset.

For audio tracks, I keep what handbrake wants :
- a Pro Logic II track
- a AC3 passthru track

For DVD with 5.1 audio track, this is definitly the thing to do, no question.

My question is rather for old movies on which there is only a 2.0 or even 1.0 track available on the DVD.

What shall I do for these tracks ?
- a Pro Logic II track, for sure
- but is there any interest to keep the AC3 passthru as proposed by handbrake ?

I'm not convinced but for the time being I keep them (easier to remove than to add if needed).
If I can free-up unnecessary used space, I'd definitly do it since I've several hundred DVDs.

Cheers.

Brandicoot.
