I have a 8GB memory card with a lot of pictures and videos on it. I accidentally hit "format memory card" on my phone and now everything is gone. I know it didn't really delete it because the formatting took like 3 seconds.
Is there any way I can use disk utility or something like that to "unformat" it and get my data back?

You'll need something like Data Rescue III to pull that off. Basically, software that will ignore the directory (which is what got overwritten) and look at the actual data on the card.

Data Rescue III costs $99.
