Hi, I just have a quick question as I can't seem to find a straight answer here or there... I have a MacPro 3,1 that I just reconfigured. It's been very hot this past week, and my computer room is an 86F sauna. I installed iStat just to make sure I wasn't melting anything inside (as my body sure was) and I'm a bit concerned about my temps, particularly "AMB IC" on my memory risers, CPU dies, and the PSU. I was hoping someone might be able to tell me what acceptable ranges for these parts, or the machine on the whole? I attached some scrots from right at boot and after doing a little system maint for about 40 minutes (moving files, playing music through iTunes, light browsing) and the afters seem rather high to me. Stranger still is that the fans don't seem to want to kick on by themselves no mater how hot things get, having to do it myself in software; my G4s always ramped up the fans the moment the temps began increasing so maybe I'm just used to PPC heat, lol. What do you guys think?
