Access External Network Driven Hard Drive Remotely

I recently purchased a 4 bay SATA 3.5" Hard drive station...thing, and I have it running through my airport extreme, acting as a server (essentially). I would like to know if there is any way I would be a able to access that remotely (i.e.- from my MBP at school/work). I am a graphic designer and I keep a lot of very useful files and portfolio items on this behemoth hard drive, and it would be unbelievably handy to be able to access it from afar.
