Access Internet/Email on unlocked 2G with ATT account

Am an existing ATT customer with standard data plan. Purchased used 2G. Completed Jailbreak and Unlock. Moved sim card over. All works well but Internet/Email. I have data plan(non-iphone plan) and want to access internet/email. Is there a way to do this? Thanks for your time.

What kind of data plan do you have?
Not all are compatible with the iphone.

Yeah, If your on AT&T's network or have a AT&T plan, they've locked the unlimited media net plans from working (ie 20.00 unlimited data or 30.00 unlimted text/data) If you have a blackberry or other 30.00 data plan, it should work, but if you want Visual voicemail just switch to a iPhone data plan.

If you don't want to pay 30.00 a month you can use wifi which is about the only thing I can think of.

AT&T Standard Data Plan (non-iphone)

I have the standard data plan (non-iphone) from AT&T. I had a regular phone and moved the sim card over to the 2G iphone. Sounds like I might be out of luck for internet/email if not using local wifi. Any additional info or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.
