I'm sure this question has been asked before but I can't seem to find a good answer. I see that it is possible to do on an an iPhone 2g 3g 3gs 4 ect... but i can't find anyone that says for sure that this is or isn't possible.
My phone is jailbroken and i was ****** around and renamed a system file while testing something else. now the phone won't boot. i get the apple logo for a while and then the spinning thing for a while then it reboots and starts over.
I'm not completely against just restoring it but i would really like to at least get my photos off and/or rename that file back so that it will boot again.
from what i'm reading about the older versions of what i'm trying to do you have to some how put an ssh kernal in to the bootloader or something along those lines. i'm willing to try just about anything, even if it's only in the testing phases now.
Thank you for your help
