Accessibility speech not working correctly in High Sierra 10.13

I occasionally use the speech dictation built into the MAC. I am using High Sierra 10.13, but the issue is that it double writes each sentence most of the time. It still does it after a clean install, does anyone have any thoughts what could be causing this?
