I have an old IDE hard drive I'm keen to access. The hard drive was partitioned to run two operating systems - Windows XP and Ubuntu. I mostly used Ubuntu, so all the files I'm most keen to access should be on that half.
Using a dock, I can connect the hard drive to my Macbook. On DiskUtility, two hard drives show up. I can view the contents of the Windows half of it (which is formatted NTFS), but the other half shows up as a FAT32 drive with only 16Mb in use (folders named after a mix of numbers and letters containing things like 'update.exe.').
The fact that the Windows half of the drive appears to still be intact gives me hope that I can access the files on the Ubuntu half, but I'm at a loss how to get to them. Is there anybody here who can point me in the right direction?
Thank you.
