Accessing External HD from my PC

I am trying to access my Seagate HD (external) from my PC. I need to access them on my new iMac. The disk utility does recognize it however the SMART Status says not supported. I am new to the "mac world" and would greatly appreciate any information that would allow me to access my stored photos.
