I ordered the Momentus XT and I will be using current 500gb 7200 drive in an external firewire case. If I take current drive out and throw it in the case, what will be accessible on it through firewire? Will it be like whats here already with all the document folders and such?

It'll be exactly the same as it was when it was inside the MBP. You can even boot from it. However, I would clone its data to the new drive and then use it for Time Machine or as extra storage if you don't have any yet.

I dont want to clone anything because I would like to do a fresh install and im staying away from time machine unless absolutely necessary because I dont want any of the files pertaining to Parallels or anything moved over because im also doing bootcamp because parallels sucks for cad programs. Should I uninstall things with serials like Starcraft 2 before moving over to the new HD and installing everything new?
