Accessing iPhone from mac

My iPhone 5 screen is cracked,i want to get the data off of it without buying a new screen if it's not needed. Is it possible for me to plug it in to my mac and run some software that will let me access it like an emulator or alike to using Xcode simulator to use it on my mac ?

thanks i have this but what I'm trying to do is have something as a sdks simulator for the mac but that i can connect my phone to the simulator so that i can access the apps on it
