Accessing iTunes library from Time Capsule

I connected an external HDD it to the TC and wanted to start accessing my iTunes library from the FreeAgent (via Airport Extreme). I know that I have to change the default location right. This can be done right? Has anyone or is anyone doing this? From what I understand it can be done, but I just have to make sure that I access the HDD before I open iTunes. If I was to do it the other way then iTunes would default back to the HDD on the MacBook. What do you guys think?
