Hi,

I used to access my graduate school email account solely with IMAP, and it worked great until I started to get errors when sending mail.

So I set up apple mail and iPhone mail to access it with POP as well. Now, when I log onto my email account from the web, all of my emails that I accessed with POP are gone???? they are also gone from my IMAP access. I still have them in POP so they couldn't have disappeared completely. Is there anyway to get them back on my school's server?

thanks:apple:

To keep it from happening (in Mail.app) Preferences-->Account-->Advanced--> uncheck "Remove copy from server...", or at least set it to a long time. Other email apps have a similar setting somewhere.

As for ones that your mail reader has already deleted... I don't think there's a way other than forwarding them all to yourself.
