Hey guys.

Hoped some of you could help me to get some more clarity on this issue.
My mac harddrive completely died however i stored all the backup on my TM external harddrive.
The situation is that i only have a PC for now and how can i access my files on my Time Machine backup harddrive through my PC ?

This would really help me alot.

Thanks,

//Hankie

Um i don't believe that is possible - Windows machines can not open DMG's or the time machine sparse bundle image and if the hdd is formatted specially to be used on a mac the HFS file system again the windows machine will not read it.

However, you can try having a look at MacDrive. That might offer you the option to browse it. I believe there is a trial period but still should give you the time to get your info out.

You can use the free HFS Explorer to get at the files on your Time Machine drive. The interface leaves much to be desired, but short of a commercial program like MacDrive, it's as good as it gets.

Thanks guys it helped, however why can i only se 70% of the content?
The backup drive is a full 500 GB but my PC only recognize 350 GB ?

hmm... perhaps the backup/sparsebundle is 350 GB and the program only can se that? You don't need to see/use the free space anyway....
