Accessing Vista folders from OS X

I'm trying to get access to folders on a Vista PC (Ultimate Edition) from OS X.

I've shared the folder in Vista, and I can see it from the Mac, but the folder appears empty on the Mac.

On the other hand, the public folder on the Vistas PC is fully viewable.

Does anyone know how to make this work?
