Hey guys,
Picked up my new iMac 27" the other week and starting to get my head around it now but just wondering what accessories you guys have that you could not live without?
Have only got the basic setup at the minute but I'm going to be getting the new apple tv box (hopefully released today)

So what accessory could you now not live without?

1)BT keyboard (keep your wired one, it's required if you get into boot issues)

2) Mini display port to HDMI adapter (Use your TV as a monitor)

3) Optical cables for mixing board / DTS etc.

Just a few of mine, you may not need them all.

You could consider a cover, I bought one for my 27" but since it's always on, I don't use it much.

1) MDP-to-HDMI adapter (Monoprice) to hook up to my TV
2) Ethernet cord to my router :p
3) Apple's Battery Charger (the Magic Mouse eats through batteries!)
4) 2TB WD USB external HDD for Time Machine
5) Brother 2270dw Wireless/Duplex Laser Printer

And assuming software-ish things count as accessories:
6) Mobile Mouse app to control my iMac's mouse with my iPhone
7) Screen sharing enabled so I can control my iMac with my MBA
8) Virtualbox to use Windows applications

I also have a Magic Trackpad, but I literally never use it, meh

well i've just got an iMac book from amazon as i think ill need it to get my head around a few things but added to my list now is an apple battery charger as i have got the wireless keyboard and trackpad.
will also be adding a storage device to back it up when funds allow. This apple stuff is not cheap is it ! but at least its good quality

Eneloop rechargeable batteries and a no brand charger
Some form of USB hub
External drive for Time Machine backup

They where the main ones for me

Currently:

- BT Keyboard (as mentioned keep a USB keyboard handy just in case)
- Magic Mouse and Trackpad (Hardly need both but I had the mouse already. You likely have one of these already)
- 1TB Backup drive (USB) used only with Time Machine
- 2TB Drive (FW800) for storage of movies and other large files. Also my editing scratch disk.

Getting within the Week:

- Second monitor for editing
- MDP to VGA adapter for said monitor (it's an old monitor so no HDMI)

Want:

- Thunderbolt stuff that doesn't cost a fortune :(

I'm still waiting on Apple and the 2012 update, I'm going to do...

1) opt for the wired KB, wireless is good but I don't need it and want a NUM pad.
2) Magic Trackpad, if I need a mouse I'll get one later but after using my moms now MBP I think I can go mouse free!
3) USB3 external HDD for Time Machine.
4) Belkin 7 port USB hub, which I have and will transfer to the new iMac, at some point it will be replaced with a USB3 hub.

At the end of the year one of these.
