"Accessory Connected" displayed

I have a Sony Sound Bar with a iPhone dock. Until I updated my iPhone 3GS from version 3.0 to 3.13 all I had to do was dock it then start my iPod, select the songs, and it would play through the sound bar. Now when I dock it a full page displays on the phone that states "Accessory Connected". This page does not let me do anything with my songs on the phone in my iPod. When I try to go to my ipod this page displays and prohibits me from selecting music through the iPod application. Any way to correct or get around this so I can again play music with my phone through the sound bar?

If you are jailbroken you can install the "NoAccessorySplash" package from Cydia.

I'm still looking for a non-jailbroken solution. If anyone else knows of a way, let us know.
