iPod touch Accessory connected screen

I have tried plugging in my new i touch to my Blu ray player, but it comes up with a white screen saying "accessory connected. I cant play any music, when i plug in my i touch i can see for a split second the music screen and then it goes straight to the white screen. Any ideas anyone please?

how can you plug an iPod touch into a bluray player?

Yeah, I've heard of connecting it to a TV (see the Cydia app DisplayOut) but a BluRay player? Are you using the sync cable plugged into a USB port? Is this by any chance a PS3?

its a home cinema blu ray kit
