my wife has come from android to iPhone. The thing she really misses is the LED notification - she doesn’t carry the phone around with her all the time, and it is convenient to see across the room if there is a missed text or call etc.

What options work as an alternative for Iphone? We have hue lights so we could add one to work as a notification light. Or I’ve seen things like the divoom timebox which is a BT speaker with customisable LED front panel, but I don’t know if they can be used as a persistent notification - would want it to literally just be 'you have a notification' until you check your phone, and then it goes away

Thanks, but that only flashes at the moment a notification comes in. We need something more persistent. If she isn’t in the same room at the same time she’ll miss it - and if she is in the same room she’ll hear it anyway.

Apple Watch

Ideally something less than several hundred dollars and that she doesn’t have to wear all the time. Mostly this is for when she is home and leaves the phone on the living room table and moves around the house a lot.

Being able to set a hue bulb to a certain colour would be great, but I don’t think iOS gives access to SMS, iMessage or email notifications?

Can't think of any other solution except picking up the phone now and then.
