Accessory is not made to work with iphone keeps popping up

"This accessory is not made to work with iPhone" notification keeps popping up on my phone even though no accessory is connected. It happens every 10 seconds or so, even after a reset and hard reset, anyone else have this problem?

yeah i saw that but it wasnt too useful, wanted to see if its a hardware or software issue...

Did your phone get wet at any point? Because on my old iPhone 2g I had it in my pocket during a crazy downpour and that message popped up all the time after. It went away by itself after a while but then I got it wet again and it came back. I brought it into th store and they replaced it right away. I guess they forgot to check to see if my water sensor was tripped.
