a lot of people have talked about this in the past ... no one has done it yet for the iPhone -- this project is a simple solution to this problem...just use the analog video out (like the cable you can buy) and the built in bluetooth connectivity. There is a current post on kickstarter.com.

multiple devices and cost

Good point....although, when you have multiple devices you have multiple accounts to sync and multiple carrier bills to pay. Also ... if you already have an iPhone then cost might be a factor.

wifi + tether? Anyways, unless it's significantly cheaper than iPad (under $200,which i think is impossible), it'd be tough to sell this thing.
