Hi!

I am using TIGER OSX on my ancient mac book and i accidentally cleared my downloads list, can someone please let me know how can i retrieve the documents on the downloads list?
There is no downloads folder anywhere on my computer...

thank you

Using Safari? The list of files that you've already downloaded, is that what you mean?

If so...
Go to Safari>Preferences>General and see which folder your files are downloaded to. They should be in there.

Pointed out below: Tiger! My answer is for Leopard, and possibly Snow Leopard. Sorry.

Sure there is. I just confirmed that I cannot delete or move my Downloads Folder.* A message comes up that says "You can't do that!" Well, not in those exact words. It goes on to say that the folder is a requirement of the OS.

Look in your Home Folder. Unless you're a magician, the Downloads Folder is there.

*It can be copied to another location.

The downloads folder was included in the Leopard OS, not the Tiger OS, so no, they won't have an in built Downloads folder in their home directory.
