I was trying to create a HTML signature for Mail.app but accidentally deleted the old signature file, which essentially I'd need to replace by the new one. Is there anyway I can retrieve that file name?

Its easy enough to turn wishes into reality in this case - buy a drive and plug it in - hardly brain surgery. And losing a sig file seems a small price to pay for reminding you that at any minute you could lose all your data, music, photos, whatever, not just one sig file.
In any case, can you not reconstruct your sig from an email you sent, wont there be many in your sent mail folder?
